Amazon just put the date on the calendar. Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6-7.
That is the official consumer announcement, not a seller-forum hint. Two weeks of prep. Most of the inbound clock already expired.
What happened (confirmed)
On September 14, Amazon's press center said Prime Big Deal Days returns October 6-7, starting at 12:01 a.m. PDT on the 6th. Forty-eight hours of Prime-member deals. New drops three times a day at midnight, 8 a.m., and 1 p.m. PDT. Twenty-two countries, with dates that may vary by country.
Carmen Nestares, VP of North America Marketing and Prime Tech, said the event includes "over one million items at Amazon's lowest price of the year so far." Early deals started the same day as the announcement. Alexa for Shopping is being pushed as the deal-alert and price-history layer for the season.

The Seller Central holiday readiness post still lists the seller gates that sat behind this date:
• Deal submissions for Prime Big Deal Days: July 8 through September 8
• FBA inbound for the event: September 2 (AWD), September 9 (minimal splits), September 16 (Amazon-optimized splits)
• Holiday peak fulfillment fees: October 15, 2026 through January 14, 2027, averaging about $0.32 more per unit over non-peak rates, plus the 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge
• Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deal submissions: still open through October 20
Prime Big Deal Days promotional prices stay outside the 30-day and 60-day lookback used for later deal max prices. An aggressive October deal does not poison your November eligibility.

Why this matters
Operators spent August arguing about inbound. That fight is mostly over. The date is locked, early deals are live, and shoppers now have a concrete window to wait for.
What you still control is ads, coupons and Prime Exclusive Discounts where still available, pricing that survives peak fees starting October 15, and whether your Black Friday Week pipeline is already built. Buying Sponsored Products into an ASIN that missed the receive-by and will not hold a Prime badge during the event is how you fund someone else's conversion.
Who it affects most
• Brands with approved Big Deal Days deals and stock already in network
• Sellers who missed the September 16 optimized inbound gate and still planned to advertise into the event
• Teams that paused ads after the September 8 deal window and never rebuilt a pre-event bid plan
• Anyone pricing October deals against summer fee tables instead of peak rates
• Operators who have not opened Black Friday Week submissions yet, even though that window runs through October 20
What sellers should do this week
1. Open Seller Central Deals and confirm which ASINs actually carry a deal for October 6-7. Separate approved deals from wishful thinking.
2. Check Prime-badge and fulfillable units on those ASINs. If inbound missed the event gates, cut or pause discovery ads into that listing for the event window.
3. Start the ad ramp now, not on October 6. Defend brand terms, cover "October Prime Day" style queries shoppers actually type, and put Sponsored Display remarketing on the ASINs you are protecting.
4. Rebuild unit economics with peak fees from October 15. A deal that penciled in August can lose money the week after the event.
5. Open Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday submissions. The lookback exclusion on Big Deal Days promo prices is the green light to push October without wrecking November eligibility.
Our take
Amazon already told you the inbound dates. Now it told shoppers the shopping dates. The operators who win October 6-7 are not the ones still arguing about shipment splits. They are the ones with stock in network, ads warming up, and a Black Friday Week list already in review.
Two weeks. The date is not moving.
Deal calendar locked and ads still cold? CoreTrex will rebuild the October 6-7 plan around ASINs that can hold Prime, price against peak fees, and keep Black Friday Week submissions moving in parallel. Talk to a strategist.
